Residents, fellows complete graduate medical education in Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation

Four residents and two fellows are graduating from graduate medical education programs in the Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation programs this year.
This year’s Orthopaedic Residency graduates include:
- Shawn Bifano, MD: Dr. Bifano will begin a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md., in August.
- Chris Kowalski, MD: Dr. Kowalski will be an Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.
- Ryan Ridenour, MD: Dr. Ridenour will be at Duke University in Durham, N.C., for the next year, continuing his training in a Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
- Matt Widner, MD: Dr. Widner is headed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in North Carolina. Matt’s fellowship will focus on Sports Medicine.
Trainees completing a fellowship in Orthopaedics include:
- Kevin Perry, MD: Dr. Perry, who completed the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship, will be an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA.
- Greg Pace, MD: Dr. Pace, who completed the Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship, will be relocating to Hudson, N.Y., and working in private practice affiliated with Columbia Memorial Hospital.
