Paules joins Cumulus Media podcast to discuss current state of COVID-19, monkeypox and other infectious diseases in the U.S.
Dr. Catharine Paules, associate professor of medicine at Penn State College of Medicine and and a member of the Department of Medicine‘s Division of Infectious Diseases, was recently featured on the “Central PA People and Perspectives” podcast.
In this interview, Paules discussed the current state of COVID-19, monkeypox, influenza and polio in the U.S. She also provided some background on the updated COVID-19 boosters that now target the dominant BA.4 and BA.5 omicron subvariants.
Additionally, Paules highlighted the ongoing importance of infectious diseases and stressed the key role of preparedness to prevent new pandemics in the future.
The podcast aired on Cumulus Media radio stations in the Harrisburg area, including Hot 106.7 FM, 105.7 The X, Wink 104 and 93.5 WTPA. It was also broadcast on local CBS Sports Radio stations such as 96.5, 95.3 and 1400.
