Penn State CTSI celebrates grant renewal
Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute celebrated its $20 million NIH Clinical and Translational Science Award renewal with a toast and remarks during an Oct. 31, 2016, event.
The event included remarks by the following:
- Dr. A. Craig Hillemeier, dean, Penn State College of Medicine; CEO, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center; senior vice president of health affairs, Penn State
- Ann Crouter, Raymond E. and Erin Stuart Schultz Dean, College of Health and Human Development
- Dr. Lawrence Sinoway, director, Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute; distinguished professor of medicine; director, Penn State Heart and Vascular Institute
- Charlie Dent, U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 15th District; member, House Committee on Appropriations, Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies
CTSI co-directors Dr. Urs Leuenberger, MD, Susan McHale and Dr. Diane Thiboutot were also recognized.
CTSI supporters at both the Hershey and State College campuses of Penn State participated in the event via videoconferencing. A toast to the CTSI was then followed by hors d’oeuvres and networking.
