Nancy Abraham is an example of incorporating Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence (RITE) into her daily interactions and work throughout her career here at Penn State Health Holy Spirit and Hampden Medical Centers. She treats her colleagues with respect, always valuing their input and perspectives. In her role as Lab Quality Assurance and in her previous role as Blood Bank Supervisor, she has upheld the highest standards of integrity, ensuring accuracy and transparency in all of her work and the work of the Blood Bank team.
Nancy is a team player through and through, readily collaborating with others to achieve common goals. Her commitment to excellence is evident in her meticulous attention to detail and her continuous pursuit of improvement. Nancy maintains an optimistic outlook even in the face of challenges, inspiring her colleagues with her can-do mindset and patient, positive demeanor. She fosters motivation among her peers and employees, lifting them up during difficult times and encouraging them to persevere. Nancy leads by example, approaching each task with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Despite the demanding nature of her roles, she consistently radiates positivity and optimism, creating a supportive work environment where everyone feels empowered to succeed.
Erin Moll has worked in the Office of Advanced Practice for many years. She is the first face you meet when you walk in the door and is often the individual who answers the phone when anyone calls. Erin greets each person with a smile and a kind, helpful attitude. Often, we encounter difficult situations or individuals who are facing challenging situations. Regardless of the levels of stress involved, Erin gives each issue her full attention and ensures that it receives prompt attention from our team.
Over the past several years our office has expanded our operations to better serve our population and with each new initiative Erin has taken on increased responsibility with a smile and a can-do attitude. Erin serves our hospital with care and vigor and never says, “That’s not really my job” or “I’m too busy right now.” I think everyone who experienced working with Erin would agree that her shared her values and work ethic are an example for all of us. Erin is worth more to us that I could possibly write in words. Erin is the unsung hero of our office who is rarely recognized but the lynchpin in all of our successes.
Erica Siegfried is a wonderful manager! She exhibits the RITE values every day. She is kind, caring and always available to help anyone. She motivates and inspires me and others to be our best selves at work. If I am having an issue at work, she helps me to resolve that issue and ensures that I am doing okay afterward. She has helped me in starting to grow my professional abilities and has encouraged me to pursue leadership pathways.
Erica has arranged opportunities for coworkers to get to know each other better, like hosting a painting party and getting all of the pediatric admins together for lunch. She is honest and straightforward, which I greatly appreciate because I want to know if there is something that I can improve or change. In the times that we have walked around the hospital together, she is respectful and friendly to patients and visitors. She is the perfect person to receive this award, she has made a positive impact on me in the short time that we have spent together.
