Penn State Health celebrates Black History Month
Penn State Health celebrates Black History Month with displays featuring the valuable medical contributions of several African and Black Americans, including Drs. Daniel Williams, Charles Drew, Ben Carson and Alexa Irene Canady.
These medical pioneers are responsible for innovative health care advances in blood banking, neurosurgery and open-heart surgery.
Penn State Health visitors and employees can see the displays, created by the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in all its hospital cafeterias and Penn State Health Lime Spring Outpatient Center in Lancaster through Thursday, Feb. 23.
