Penn State Health, College of Medicine celebrate Pride Month

June is Pride Month and, to celebrate, the iconic crescent at Hershey Medical Center will be lit in rainbow colors from Tuesday, June 20 through Saturday, June 24.

Pride Month honors the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (LGBTQ) and related communities, the diversity of identities and the fight for equal rights around the world. It’s an opportunity to remember the successes of LGBTQ+ people and the injustices they’ve overcome, while also honoring their continued efforts to make the world a safe place for every person to be their authentic selves.
