Penn State Health, College of Medicine offer employees, students new options to receive first doses of COVID-19 vaccine

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine are offering employees and students more opportunities to receive their first COVID-19 doses.
This follows the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s full approval of the Pfizer vaccine in August, prompting more Americans who had been hesitant to receive their first dose.
First-dose clinics will be held at:
- Hershey Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. in T2500. Schedule an appointment through SignUpGenius.
- Holy Spirit Medical Center on Thursday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m. to noon at 875 Poplar Church Drive. Enter from the rear into Lab area. Call 844-774-4772 and select option 1 to schedule.
- St. Joseph Medical Center on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 9 a.m. to noon in Garden Level North. Call 610-378-2191 to schedule.
Organizers will schedule second-dose appointments after administering the first. Clinics are open to all Penn State Health and College of Medicine employees and students.
Penn State Health will make booster shots―which patients are supposed to receive eight months after their second dose―available after Monday, Sept. 20. Watch the Daily Brief for information about how to register for those vaccines – in combination with inoculations for the flu.
