Penn State Health, College of Medicine set new fundraising promotion guidelines

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine employees and students are generous supporters of their communities, organizing numerous fundraisers and donating money and goods to nonprofits and people in need throughout the year. But you have told us in numerous surveys that you have limited time and only want The RITE Stuff to include vital news that helps you do your job.
In response, The RITE Stuff and Penn State Health and the College of Medicine’s social media platforms will limit fundraiser solicitations to those that directly benefit a program or service of the health system, the College, our annual United Way campaign, Four Diamonds and Children’s Miracle Network.
All fundraising activities must have the appropriate leadership support and be coordinated with and approved by the Office of Development. If you plan to start a fundraising effort on behalf of Penn State Health or College of Medicine, you must first talk with the Development Office.
- See the Fundraising Policy for Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health, PSH-ADM-92 for details.
External businesses that raise money in support of Penn State Health and the College of Medicine will be included in The RITE Stuff, the COMmunicator (the College of Medicine’s internal e-newsletter) or on Penn State Health and the College’s social media channels only upon request by the Office of Development.
