Penn State Health named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Inclusion & Diversity by Newsweek

Penn State Health has been selected by Newsweek as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Inclusion & Diversity 2025. Based on one of the largest independent employee studies in the United States, this annual ranking recognizes workplaces where diversity and inclusion are respected and valued.
“We are humbled to learn our employees identified Penn State Health as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Inclusion & Diversity,” says Ipalla Cooke, director of diversity analytics in the Penn State Health Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. “Every day, we work to ensure our employees are engaged and feel valued for the critical work they do. Feedback matters and reinforces the ongoing commitment to create an environment where everyone can show up and contribute to the RITE values that make this a great place to work.”
Newsweek and Plant-A Insights, a data analytics firm, evaluated companies based on public data, insight from human resources professionals and responses from an anonymous survey of employees across U.S.-based companies. Respondents shared feedback on corporate culture, working conditions and other aspects of their employers and other companies they know. The study included more than 339,000 employee interviews and over 4.8 million comprehensive company reviews.
This is the first time Newsweek has included Penn State Health on its list of the top workplaces for inclusion and diversity. In 2024, Penn State Health was named to the Military Times Best for Vets: 2024 Employers List and listed as one of America’s Best Employers by State by Forbes.
