Penn State Health now scheduling COVID-19 vaccinations for 12- 15-year-olds at Hershey, Reading sites

Penn State Health is now administering doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to 12- to 15-year-olds at its dedicated vaccination sites in Hershey and Reading.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended the Pfizer vaccine for use in this age group on May 12, two days after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted it emergency use authorization for 12- to 15-year-olds. It is the only COVID-19 vaccine authorized for emergency use in individuals younger than 18. The health system has been vaccinating 16- and 17-year olds at the Hershey and Reading sites since April.
Parents or guardians may schedule their children’s COVID-19 vaccinations through vaccine-scheduler.pennstatehealth.org or call to 844-774-8883. Walk-in appointments are also available at the two sites, Mondays through Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Friday, May 28.
Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the health system will reduce hours and open days at its Hershey and Reading vaccination sites:
