Penn State Health outlines process for sponsorship and contribution requests

Penn State Health supports a limited number of nonprofit organizations through sponsorships and contributions that enhance our mission to improve the health and well-being of the people of Pennsylvania and beyond. Employees of the health system or representatives of nonprofit organizations who wish to request a sponsorship or contribution must fill out this application:
This process helps Penn State Health provide strategic support to the communities we serve, while also being good financial stewards. Requests that do not follow the Community Sponsorship process will not be honored.
Event sponsorship requests must be submitted at least 45 days before the event. Include information about the nonprofit organization and sponsorship.
Evaluation criteria
A committee of Penn State Health and Highmark Community Relations and Marketing employees evaluates the applications by the nonprofit organization’s community impact, its alignment with Penn State Health’s mission, the amount of the sponsorship or contribution, the services provided in exchange for the sponsorship or contribution, and the number of people the sponsorship or contribution will reach.
Youth activities and golf tournament fundraisers
Due to the large number of youth organizations and golf tournament fundraisers in Penn State Health’s 29-county service area, the health system does not sponsor youth sports teams, other youth activities or golf tournaments.
Request reviews
Employees who would like to request a sponsorship or contribution are encouraged to share their application with their supervisor before submitting it. Your supervisor can help you evaluate it to ensure that it supports Penn State Health’s mission. Departments should consider limiting their requests to one or two per year.
For questions, email the Community Relations Department.
