Polinsky succeeds Dr. Marc Rovito, chief of oncology. Board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology, Polinsky joined Berks Cardiology in 2006. His postgraduate training included a fellowship in cardiology at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.
- Dr. Joel Baker was elected as the new president-elect. Baker graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Dr. Michael Abboud was named chair of the Department of Surgery, following the summer retirement of Dr. Pat Sharma, a board-certified vascular surgeon whose 26-year tenure with the hospital also included serving as director of the vascular laboratory. Abboud is a board-certified general surgeon who has focused his clinical practice on the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the breast and management of disorders of the biliary and alimentary tract.
