Penn State Health to close Blood Donor Center

Penn State Health will convert its Blood Donor Center at 35 Hope Drive into a clinical practice on Friday, June 28 because of a decrease in donors.

After that facility stops taking donations, Penn State Health will continue to partner with other organizations to offer blood drives on the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus. The network had partnered with Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank to run the facility.

The Blood Donor Center will continue to operate from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m weekdays until the last Friday in June.

Contact Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank, the American Red Cross or Miller Keystone Blood Center for more information about donating.
