Pride at Penn State Health: Celebrating 15 years and looking to the future

Penn State Health’s LGBTQ+ and Allies Business Employee Resource Group will present a 15th anniversary Pride event on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event will feature information, resources, refreshments and a celebration of 15 years of advocacy, community building and progress.

Ashleigh Strange, executive director for the Governor’s Advisory Commission on LGBTQ+ Affairs, will be the keynote speaker. The program will also include remarks from:
- LGBTQ+ and Allies Business Employee Resource Group leaders
- Hannah Wenger, internal medicine physician at Penn State Health
- Penn State College of Medicine’s Lion Pride student group members
- Community advocates
Lizzie Beaumont, a drag queen, local cabaret performer and longtime Penn State Health nurse, will be the MC and will provide entertainment.
