Departments mark Pride Month with bulletin board displays

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and Penn State College of Medicine offered several presentations as part of the campus observance of LGBTQ+ Pride Month in June 2021.

In addition, a number of departments and work areas around the institution supported Pride through efforts such as informational bulletin boards.

The Emergency Department created a bulletin board for Pride Month, “PRIDE Beyond the Rainbow,” featuring a display showcasing the meaning of and history behind a number of Pride flags.

Also, Erin McCurdy, a switchboard operator at the Medical Center, created a board for the switchboard department in June. She included information about the historical context for Pride, meanings of various Pride flags, quotes, a timeline, photos and more.

A large bulletin board features a number of facts about LGBTQ+ Pride Month, including why it is celebrated, a timeline, quotes, and photos.

Switchboard operator Erin McCurdy created this billboard for the switchboard department at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center to help provide education during LGBTQ+ Pride Month 2021.
