Process to access Harrell Health Sciences Library resources has changed
On-campus access to Harrell Health Sciences Library resources changed on Monday, Aug. 15.
This change affects users accessing library journals, eBooks and databases on the secure “psmshmc” network. Access is limited to links from the library website and requires authentication for access to these resources. This is for both the wireless and wired connections. Direct links to vendor websites and platforms will no longer work.
This will not affect off-campus or ATT network access to library resources. The library does not provision or manage PSU Access Accounts or the PSH User Accounts.
How to access library resources for all Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center users:
- Go to the Harrell Health Sciences Library website: hershey.libraries.psu.edu/
- Most resources require authentication with the user’s Penn State University account log-in
- Example: abc123@psu.edu
- Some resources require authentication with the user’s Penn State Health accounts
- Example: zsmith@pennstatehealth.psu.edu
