Project ECHO launches Monkeypox series for healthcare professionals
The recent Monkeypox outbreak has continued to shed light on the pressing need to equip healthcare professionals with timely, relevant information in times of public health crises. Project ECHO at Penn State College of Medicine launched a new Monkeypox ECHO series, aimed at providing accurate information to healthcare providers about the spread, symptoms and treatment of Monkeypox.
“Providing culturally responsive care to all is integral in promoting health equity,” Emily Heilbrunn, MPH, project manager, said. “The Monkeypox ECHO series at Penn State Project ECHO aims to promote evidence-based information related to Monkeypox, to best equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge they need to provide high-quality care to their patients.”
Five sessions of this series were held, beginning in August 2022.
