Students attend computational genomics summer program
Penn State College of Medicine graduate students Nathalie Fuentes Ortiz, Jesica James and Bo Zhang were accepted to attend the Summer School for Computational Genomics held June 13-24, 2016, at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York.
The program is designed for first- and second-year graduate students in computer science or biology and provided training on basic computational skills and genomic information.
The Summer School program covered the cost of travel and lodging; the students were also supported in their trip with a travel award from the Office of Graduate Education to help offset costs of food and incidental expenses.
