Stuff the Bus with school, health supplies now through Sept. 10 for United Way of Capital Region, United Way of Berks County

Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine are collecting school and health supplies for United Way of the Capital Region and United Way of Berks County now through Sept. 10.

United Way of the Capital Region

Donations to the United Way of the Capital Region’s Stuff the Bus event will go to schools that are part of United Way’s Ready for School, Ready to Succeed initiative. Employees can drop off supplies at the following locations now through Sept. 9:

  • Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Academic Support Building (ASB), 90 Hope Drive, Hershey
  • Holy Spirit Medical Center atrium

On Friday, Sept. 10 ─ the United Way Day of Caring ─ employees can drop off supplies at the school bus in the ASB  parking lot from 8 a.m. till noon, or at these locations:

  • Highmark Blue Shield, 1800 Center Street, Camp Hill
  • Heller’s Hardware – 42 Red Hill Road, Newport

United Way of Berks County

Donations to United Way of Berks County’s Stuff the Bus event will benefit Berks area schools and Safe Berks, a nonprofit organization that supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Employees can drop off supplies from Monday, Aug. 9 through Friday, Aug. 20 at the following locations:

  • Joseph Medical Center Foundation Office, across the street from St. Joseph Medical Center – Bern campus, 1036 MacArthur Road, Reading
  • Joseph Medical Center – Downtown Campus, 145 N. 6th St., Reading

A school bus will be on-site at the Foundation Office from Aug. 18 to Aug. 20. See a list of supplies needed and a link for those who prefer shopping online for the Berks event.
