The RITE Stuff limited to essentials once per week beginning Aug. 19

The frequency of The RITE Stuff publication will decrease to once per week, beginning the week of Monday, Aug. 19.
Why?
Employees have expressed difficulty with keeping up with the volume of information that is shared across the organization. The Communications team recently initiated an internal communications survey to better understand what people need and want and the best pace in which to receive it. This reduction of The RITE Stuff will allow the team to evaluate the employee feedback and determine how organizational information is best distributed to better serve employees and to inform further internal communications changes in the future.
What you need to do
If you have news that does not fit the definition of “essential,” you will need to find alternative ways of sharing it. For example:
- Infonet calendar (upcoming events)
- Entity-specific emails and newsletters
- Team meetings, huddles and town halls
Beginning Friday, Aug. 9, information that is submitted that does not meet the definition of essential messaging can be shared via the methods mentioned above, or postponed.
“Essential” is defined as any information that is imperative to share with all employees of Penn State Health and cannot be effectively shared through other communications channels. More specifically, the information must directly affect the success of the organization, the safety of patients and staff, or the ability of staff to fulfill their responsibilities.
The communications team appreciates your understanding and looks forward to bringing information to you in new, improved ways.
