University Drive on Hershey campus to reopen

Work crews will reopen the portion of University Drive at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital on the Hershey campus by as early as Monday, Oct. 28.
About 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, contractors will begin to relocate the temporary traffic signal at the intersection of University Drive and South Addition Drive to allow alternating two-way traffic to flow one direction at a time on South Addition Drive. South Addition Drive will remain one lane until construction is complete.
The work is expected to take six to eight hours. While it progresses, flagmen will control the traffic flow.
While the traffic signal is installed, delivery vehicles on South Addition Drive might also experience delays.
Once the signal is operational, University Drive will reopen along with the main entrance to the Children’s Hospital.
