Volunteers wanted for United Way Educational Kit Assemble Day Sept. 16

Volunteers from Penn State Health and the College of Medicine are needed to assemble educational kits for underserved children on Thursday, Sept. 16:
Sessions:
- 10 a.m. – Noon
- 1-3 p.m.
- 4-6 p.m.

The kits will be filled with school and health supplies collected for United Way of the Capital Region’s Stuff the Bus campaign.
Details:
A total of 30 volunteer slots ─ 10 per packing session ─ are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-up is voluntary. Employees must get prior approval from their supervisor. United Way of the Capital Region will donate the educational kits to local schools that participate in the agency’s Ready for School, Ready to Succeed project.
Stuff the Bus donations still accepted
Employees can drop off supplies at the following locations now through Sept. 9:
- Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Academic Support Building, 90 Hope Drive, Hershey
- Holy Spirit Medical Center atrium
On Friday, Sept. 10 from 8 a.m. till noon ─ the United Way Day of Caring ─ employees can “Stuff the Bus” at these locations:
- Hershey Medical Center Academic Support Building parking lot, 90 Hope Drive, Hershey
- Highmark Blue Shield, 1800 Center Street, Camp Hill
- Heller’s Hardware – 42 Red Hill Road, Newport
