- The 9th annual Penn State Chocolate Tour, a day of cycling, walking and running events, supports research at Penn State Cancer Institute. This year it’s Saturday, Aug. 3, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Milton Hershey School Athletic Complex, Hershey. Register and donate here.
- Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center and Berks County Breastfeeding Coalition is hosting a free drop-in group collaboration that allows breastfeeding mothers to support one another in a warm, nurturing environment. Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 10-11 a.m. Learn more.
- Penn State Health is collecting gently used books for a book sale to benefit the United Way. Books may be dropped off until Thursday, Aug. 8at Crystal A, Room 2320, Harrell Library ― south entrance or Biomedical Research Building, C3804. More information.
- The Community Relations Department offers grants to programs that address priorities identified in the 2018 Community Health Needs Assessment. Applications are accepted annually from July to October and are awarded from January to December for up to $5,000 each. Details here.
- Information Services will host a Lunch and Learn about the Outlook on the Move initiative. It’s Monday, Aug. 5, noon to 1 p.m., at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, C7619. Zoom link.
- Penn State Health Children’s Hospital will offer at Teddy Bear Clinic for kids during the Lower Paxton Police Department’s Night Out for Public Safety. It’s Tuesday, 6, 5-8 p.m. at Thomas B. George Park, 300 Nyes Road, Harrisburg.
