Wild Onions announces award winners, 2025 student senior editors
The 2024 edition of Wild Onions, the Department of Humanities’ journal of poetry, prose and visual arts, premiered at the University Conference Center on May 7, an evening of art, delicious food, and camaraderie. The theme of this year’s issue was “Moments of Silence,” established by outgoing editors Pallavi Kulkarni and Allison Ching.
The event featured the winners of three major categories – creative writing, art and photography – speaking about their work. There was also an open mic for community members to share their written contributions. To close the event, incoming 4th-year editors Himani Devabhaktuni and Muzna Ali announced this year’s theme, “Hidden Roots.”
