Your contribution to United Way can help families meet basic needs

Christy lived in transition housing and needed rental assistance. With the help of United Way and its community partners, she was able to provide a stable home for her daughter.
“By helping people like Christy with just the housing stability piece, it boosts their confidence level a thousand percent,” says Leah Payne, HELP Ministries program manager. “It gives them the confidence that they know they can go forward and attain some other goals they have for their life.”
Today, Christy is a house manager for New Tomorrow, a nonprofit that provides transitional housing for women, and is studying social services and human services. “I no longer have to worry about my daughter being bounced around,” she says.
