Your contribution to United Way can make a big difference in children’s lives

Kindergarten is an exciting time for most children, but not every child has the skills they need to succeed. United Way is changing that through programs that help prepare children academically and socially.

“I would recommend this program to other parents,” said Rebecca, whose son Cain is enrolled in United Way of the Capital Region’s Ready for School, Ready to Succeed program. “I have seen a definite, noticeable difference. He’s more confident. He doesn’t seem to be as shy, and he’s also excited to speak up and answer questions.”

You can support children like Cain by giving as little as a dollar a week to Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine’s 2021 United Way campaign, which runs through Friday, Nov. 19.

This year, for the first time, all Penn State Health entities and the College of Medicine are participating together in the campaign. The goal is $435,000.
