Barnstable steps down as Neural and Behavioral Sciences Department chair

Dr. Colin Barnstable has stepped down as chair of the Department of Neural and Behavioral Sciences at Penn State College of Medicine after serving in that role for 12 years. Dr. Sue Grigson, professor of neural and behavioral sciences, has been appointed interim chair.

Penn State Health joined the United Way’s Capital Region Core Solutions Partners in Health in September to assist with the Contact to Care initiative. Contact to Care provides community health workers who help uninsured and underinsured individuals and families secure dental, vision, mental and primary care.

Penn State College of Medicine Global Health Center hosted its 2018 Global Health Exhibit: An Evening of Global Health Visual Narratives. The interactive photography showcase featured photos from faculty, staff and students and an introduction to visual thinking strategies.

Newly funded project to focus on health in rural Pennsylvania communities

Penn State Clinical and Translational Science Institute has been awarded a $416,000 grant from the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences for a pilot program to better understand the issues facing rural communities and address a decline in American life expectancy.
