Walkers raise awareness and money for obesity prevention

More than 40 people took part in the 2013 Walk From Obesity on April 13 on the campus of Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

The event, which includes 10,000 participants each year in cities across the United States, raises awareness about obesity as well as money for research and education. Proceeds from the walk benefit initiatives of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as well as the Obesity Action Coalition.
