Kids craft and race Pinewood Derby cars at the Children’s Hospital

Patients at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital and their families got to try their hand at crafting Pinewood Derby cars. The Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer, or AHF, brought Pinewood Derby kits to the hospital where children personalized their cars with stickers, markers and other materials. AHF's Mark Osmundson helped kids assemble and decorate the cars. Also on-hand working with the kids was race car driver Colin Thompson and Jack Broomall, who holds the world record for highest land speed reached on a motorcycle. The event was organized by the hospital's Child Life Program.
