Two Seahawks with local ties visit Children's Hospital

Garry Gilliam and Jordan Hill, both of whom play for the Seattle Seahawks, visited with patients and families at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital today. During their visit, Gilliam and Hill signed autographs, posed for photos and helped children with crafts and other activities.

“It's a humbling experience for me, just being able to come back here to my area a place that means a lot to me, especially [Penn State Hershey],” said Hill, a defensive tackle and graduate of Steelton-Highspire School District and Penn State. “Being able to make kids happy is a dream come true for me.”

Gilliam says giving back to the community is important to him. “That's always the main focus, especially during the off-season,” he says. Gilliam adds he likes working with children “to let them know that someone else cares about them.” Gilliam, an offensive tackle, graduated from Milton Hershey School and is also a Nittany Lion.
