‘Spirited' Halloween party held at Children's Hospital

Spirit Halloween hosted a Halloween party recently for patients and their families at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, featuring costumes, decorations, games and crafts. It's one of nearly 100 such parties that the company is holding in hospitals across the U.S. through its Spirit of Children program.

The program raised $59,787 for Penn State Health Children’s Hospital this past year, for a total of more than $351,000 over the last several years. The money, which is earmarked for the Child Life program, comes from donations collected at Spirit Halloween stores.

Spirit of Children's goal is to raise $8 million this year, which would bring its cumulative fundraising total to more than $37 million since the program started in 2006.
