Gov. Wolf visits Hershey Medical Center to recognize nurses

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center hosted a visit by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf on May 8. It was timed to coincide with National Nurses Week, which runs through May 12.

The governor toured the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Heart and Vascular Critical Care Unit, meeting with nurses along the way.

“Since its inception, nursing has been critical to the health and well-being of patients,” Gov. Wolf said. “Nurses tend wounds, administer medication, check vitals, perform exams, counsel patients, provide a shoulder to cry on, and so, so much more.
