Hershey Medical Center to host Independence Day celebration

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center invites the community to celebrate Independence Day with a free concert on the front lawn featuring the Hershey Symphony Orchestra. The community is invited to “An American Salute,” at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 30.

The first half of the concert is titled “A Year in the Life of Hershey Symphony,” featuring a variety of music including a Broadway medley, a light classical work by Johannes Brahms, the 1812 overture by Tchaikovsky and even a Christmas song. For the second half, the orchestra and vocalists will team up to celebrate America and provide a special tribute to the military.

Parking and admission are free and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Complimentary drinks will be provided by Hershey Medical Center, Filson Water and PepsiCo. Food trucks will have a variety of additional food and drinks available for purchase.
