Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital named to Newsweek’s “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2026” list

Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital has been recognized as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals 2026 by Newsweek and Statista.
This prestigious ranking evaluates the top 50 children’s hospitals nationwide across eight specialties. The Children’s Hospital was recognized as a leader in neonatology.
The annual ranking is based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes hospital quality metrics, patient outcomes and recommendations from healthcare professionals.
“This recognition reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional, family-centered care to our smallest and most vulnerable patients,” said Dr. Sarah Iriana, interim chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital. “Our neonatology program is built on collaboration, innovation and compassion, and we are proud to be recognized among the nation’s best.”
Penn State Health Golisano Children’s Hospital provides a full range of pediatric services, including advanced neonatal intensive care, specialty care and access to clinical research through Penn State College of Medicine. The hospital’s Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers the highest level of care for premature and critically ill newborns, serving families across central Pennsylvania and beyond.
