A student in Penn State College of Medicine's doctor of public health program wants to enhance the quality of life for women and girls living in Nepal through a program that improves feminine hygiene.

Penn State College of Medicine's Office for a Respectful Learning Environment is honoring exceptional faculty members with a new monthly award program, “Exceptional Moments in Teaching.” The program's first winner is Dr. Karen Krok, a gastroenterologist and hepatologist.

Robert Levenson and Leslie Parent, co-directors of Penn State College of Medicine's MD/PhD Medical Scientist Training Program, were recently named Fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
