Ryan Higgins, a second-year medical student in the University Park Curriculum of Penn State College of Medicine's MD Program, was honored for his presentation at the fifth annual Mount Sinai Medical Center Medical Student Ethics Conference.
Students in an elementary school classroom have been learning about healthy eating, managing emotions positively, good exercise and COVID-19 prevention from first-year College of Medicine students who volunteered their time to teach during the past couple of months.

The Society of Teachers of Family Medicine selected fourth-year medical student Katelyn Edel as a 2021 Student Scholar. Edel will use the highly-competitive scholarship to attend the society’s 2021 Virtual Conference on Medical Student Education in Feb. 2021.

Four medical school friends created the Penn State Journal of Medicine, the first publication to display research and casework from Penn State College of Medicine students. They published the inaugural edition online in October.
