New system for biosafety protocol submissions in effect

A banner for the CATS Safety program includes Penn State's logo at left, the word safety in large capital letters in the center and Centralized Application Tracking System in smaller letters at right.

A new web-based system, Centralized Application Tracking System Safety (CATS Safety), provides investigators, staff and committee members with a streamlined system for managing biosafety protocols across Penn State.

CATS Safety is supported by the Office of Research Affairs and Research Quality Assurance at Penn State College of Medicine and the Office for Research Protections and the Office of Research Information Systems at the University, in partnership with an advisory committee of biosafety subject matter experts at Penn State.

CATS Safety launched in early 2021.
