Clyde Yancy presents Spring 2022 Dean’s Lecture

Clyde W. Yancy, MD, MSc, MACC, FAHA, MACP, FHFSA, FASPC (Hon.), presented the Spring 2022 Penn State College of Medicine Dean’s Lecture on March 3. The lecture was presented virtually and recorded for later viewing.

Yancy, vice dean of diversity and inclusion, professor of medicine and chief of cardiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, spoke on the topic of “Achieving Health Equity; Have We Reached the Tipping Point?”

His research interests are heart failure, clinical guideline generation, outcomes sciences, personalized medicine and health care disparities. Yancy is immediate past co-chair of the ACC Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce and former president of the AHA; and he’s a recipient of the Gold Heart Award, James Herrick Award for distinguished achievement in clinical cardiovascular medicine and the AHA Chairman’s Award.
