“I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dambro,” wrote a current student on the nomination. “He was one of the best physicians I have ever worked with. He is an incredible role model of exceptional patient care and a phenomenal teacher.

“Every patient who came into contact with Dr. Dambro had a great experience, and in the middle of patients Dr. Dambro always took time to teach the medical students. He never seemed too busy and always made it a point to create meaningful teaching points. Dr. Dambro also was great about letting the medical student take complete responsibility for patient care and allowing the student to feel like they had their own patients. This created an amazing learning experience and truly furthered the medical student’s learning.”

Dambro is a member of the Students as Educators Faculty and a recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching. His interests include learner feedback and assessment, as well as exploring new ways to improve education.
