Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology launches new podcast highlighting advances in digestive health

The Division of Gastroenterology (GI) and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine has launched a new podcast series to explore the science, innovation and clinical advances shaping digestive health today.
“Lion’s Digest: Advances in Gastroenterology and Hepatology” is hosted by faculty and collaborators within the Penn State GI community. The podcast features short-form, high-yield conversations focused on emerging research, evolving clinical practice and the academic work taking place across the division. Episodes highlight cutting-edge studies and key publications produced by Penn State GI faculty while also offering practical insights into real-world patient care.
Through discussions with faculty, fellows, trainees and invited experts, “Lion’s Digest” covers a wide range of topics in GI, hepatology and nutrition. Areas of focus include inflammatory bowel disease, advanced endoscopy, liver disease, GI oncology, motility disorders and the growing role of nutrition in digestive health.
In addition to showcasing ongoing research and innovation within the division, the podcast aims to support practicing clinicians, trainees, researchers and allied health professionals by providing accessible, evidence-based discussions on timely topics and evolving guidelines in digestive disease care.
