Hershey expands shuttle routes, introduces shuttle tracking app
Hershey Shuttle Services has expanded its routes to keep pace with demand from faculty and staff at Hershey Medical Center and the College of Medicine.
All shuttle routes on the Hershey campus now include stops at the Academic Support Building. Employees can now ride from the Hospital Main Entrance, Children’s Hospital and/or University Physician Center entrances to the support building and back. The new service took effect Feb. 15.
Shuttles three and four take the most efficient route from the support building to the Main Hospital North Entrance. For employees traveling from the support building to the Children’s Hospital, shuttles and two take the most efficient route.
In response to feedback from Hershey Medical Center faculty and staff, Hershey Shuttle Services is expanding its routes. All shuttle routes on the Hershey campus will include the Academic Support Building. Employees can now ride from the Hospital Main Entrance, Children’s Hospital and/or University Physician Center entrances to the support building and back. This new service was effective Monday, Feb. 15.
The most efficient shuttle ride from the support building to the Main Hospital North Entrance will be on shuttles three and four. For employees traveling from the support building to the Children’s Hospital, the most efficient ride will be on shuttles one and two.
The shuttle schedule will remain 6:30 am to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. As always, OnDemand shuttle service provides ride coverage before and after those times, from 5:30 am to 11 pm, Monday through Friday.
Hershey Shuttle Services is developing a new tracking and ride request app to improve service information, notification and ride optimization. Shuttle Services will communicate additional information to faculty and staff when the tracking application goes live.
