Harrell Library upgrades to DynaMed Plus

The Harrell Health Sciences Library recently upgraded from DynaMed to DynaMed Plus.

With this upgrade, users now have access to evidence-based overviews and recommendations, graphics and images, Micromedex drug content and other new search features. DynaMed Plus is updated daily and uses the “Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation” system (GRADE) to classify recommendations. The system provides strong or weak recommendations for clinical practice based on the available evidence. In addition, DynaMed Plus includes Level of Evidence labels. Level 1 means likely reliable evidence, Level 2 means mid-level evidence and Level 3 means lacking direct evidence.

Users of DynaMed Plus can also earn CME credit with the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In order to earn credits, users must create a personal account with DynaMed Plus. Once credits are earned, they can be submitted for a certificate.

Access DynaMed Plus here. The DynaMed Plus app may also be downloaded from an Android or Apple device app store.
