Miller recognized for Exceptional Moments in Teaching
Dr. Ronald Miller, a nephrologist at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, is the July winner of Penn State College of Medicine's “Exceptional Moments in Teaching” program.
Miller previously received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2017. He also won the Distinguished Physician Award for Excellence in house staff teaching and the Education Recognition Award from the Department of Medicine. In addition, he received the Teacher of the Year Award by student vote in 2016.
“Dr. Miller is incredibly receptive to student feedback,” wrote a current student on the nomination. “He encouraged us to take what we learned about physiology and apply that knowledge to new clinical applications.”
Dr. Miller also ensures that his students have a healthy work-life balance.
“I hope that someday I will teach with the same passion and kindness that Dr. Miller shows,” the student wrote.
