University Fitness Center offers Parkinson’s disease fitness class
The importance of exercise and physical activity for people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease has been well-documented.
Exercise produces many benefits, including increased physical functioning (motor performance, strength and endurance),
improved gait and balance, cardiovascular fitness and overall better quality of life.
In the new Parkinson’s disease fitness class at University Fitness Center, participants have the opportunity to experience these benefits.
Classes are free and take place every other Thursday at the fitness center. Membership in the fitness center is not required to participate, and registration is not required. See upcoming session dates here.
