Paules, Guare featured in Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

A column written by Dr. Catharine Paules, associate professor of medicine at Penn State College of Medicine and a member of the Department of Medicine’s Division of Infectious Diseases, and Emma Guare, third-year medical student, was recently featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
In this piece, Paules and Guare gave information on the current state of respiratory viruses in the U.S., including COVID-19, RSV and influenza. They also provided guidance on vaccination and other mechanisms of illness prevention.
The column was published in The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in December 2023.
