Penn State Health employees move to new corporate headquarters on Crystal A Drive

Several Penn State Health departments were on the move in January. They relocated from the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center campus to 100 Crystal A Drive, a six-story building located three miles away. Known as Crystal A, the former Hershey Foods corporation headquarters is now Penn State Health’s new corporate headquarters and the office home of many Shared Services departments. Shared Services are those departments that support all Penn State Health entities.

Penn State Health’s moves to Crystal A are taking place to accommodate the growing health system and open up more office space on the Hershey campus.

Human Resources and Marketing and Communications, both Shared Services departments, moved to Crystal A from the Academic Support Building in October 2017. Human Resources completed its move to Crystal A Fifth Floor North this past January, as additional space in the building became available. The Human Resources teams that support Penn State College of Medicine and the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center remain in the Academic Support Building.

Also in January, Finance, including General Accounting, relocated from the Academic Support Building. The Supply Chain’s procurement, materials and leadership teams and clinical engineering leadership moved to Crystal A Fifth Floor South.

Population Health employees relocated from Crystal A Second Floor South to the north wing on Jan. 25. They were joined by members of the Center for Quality Innovation team and data analysts from Quality Services and Family and Community Medicine.

Crystal A’s third and fourth floors are currently occupied by Hershey Foods Corporation employees who will be moving to the company’s new corporate headquarters on Chocolate Avenue on a date to be determined.
