Stine shares liver research findings in gastroenterology podcast
Dr. Jonathan Stine, assistant professor of medicine and public health sciences, was featured on the Gastroenterology Learning Network podcast where he shared findings from a recent publication on the effects of exercise on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis, or NASH.
“A key finding from our study is that we saw improvement in fatty liver disease and dysbiosis, independent of significant weight loss,” said Stine, “This is really just the tip of the iceberg in terms of our investigation of some of the benefits of exercise.”
