“This is Penn State Health” shares powerful stories that define health system

Penn State Health launched a new branding campaign called “This is Penn State Health” on Sept. 24. The promise behind the campaign is simple: the health system is reinvesting in the health of its community.

“As we thought about our message to the richly diverse, widespread communities we serve, it came down to this: what matters most to us is helping the people of our region stay healthy so they can live the way they want,” said Dr. Craig Hillemeier, dean, CEO and senior vice president for health affairs.

The campaign is built primarily on compelling black and white imagery and personal stories that evoke emotion and illustrate strength – images and stories that highlight moments that define “This is Penn State Health.”

The campaign launched with billboards, newspaper and magazine ads, and social media posts. In the coming months, it will expand to include other elements.

“This is more than a campaign. It is our story of who we at Penn State Health are, together,” said Sean Young, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Penn State Health. “We believe this message will resonate well with our employees because it matches our culture of why we do what we do ― to enhance the quality of people’s lives through improved health. It also reinforces that Penn State Health is the only system in the region that provides patients with access to the full range services right here in central Pennsylvania.”

iNews will feature regular updates on the campaign as new elements roll out, including how employees can share their moments that make them say, “This is Penn State Health.”
