Celebrate July 4th with Penn State Hershey

Year after year, Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center has continued its tradition of a July 4th celebration. This year will be no different, as Penn State Hershey looks forward to providing the public with “An American Salute,” an Independence Day performance by the Hershey Symphony Orchestra on the front lawn of the main hospital complex. This group of accomplished musicians is one of the nation's largest volunteer orchestras with more than 80 members. The concert will begin at approximately 7:30 p.m., and around 10 p.m. the crowd will be treated to a comfortable and exciting view of the fireworks launched annually at Hersheypark.

Admission and parking are free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets and lawn chairs to sit on during the concert. There will be a wellness activity for children from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the front lawn as well.

This An American Salute concert, in its ninth year, is sponsored by Penn State Hershey Medical Center, Penn State College of Medicine, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, and Hershey Entertainment & Resorts.
