Christmas Day brings triplets for Lebanon County couple
Justin Dwyer and Courtney Stash are seeing three of everything. The couple from Jackson Township, Lebanon County are the proud parents of triplets born on Christmas Day.
After being in labor for five days – a result of her care team trying to delay the birth as long as possible – Stash gave birth to Averee, Claire and Eoin at 10:35 a.m. Their weights range from three pounds, eight ounces to four pounds, four ounces.
Stash says they have been buying most things “in threes” lately, including cribs, car seats and bouncy seats.
Dwyer says the couple has been getting flooded with calls from well-wishers in recent days.
“We're very humbled by it,” he says.
Because they were born pre-term – they were due in February – Averee, Claire and Eoin are spending their first days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Penn State Hershey. Mom and Dad are looking forward to the day when they can leave the hospital with their three Christmas gifts.
“I just want to get them home,” Dwyer says.
